Argentina comes from behind against Uruguay and becomes the first team to qualify for the semifinals

Argentina is the first team to qualify for the semifinals. With a 3-2 victory over Uruguay, they secured their third win in the CONMEBOL Copa América Futsal Femenina 2025™ and will now aim for the title.
Noriega’s team started behind. A great collective play from La Celeste ended with a header by Silvera to open the scoring. With five minutes remaining in the first half, Silvina Nava equalized after a great recovery by Romero.
They fell behind again early in the second half, as top scorer Scaletti capitalized on a rebound, giving Lamanna’s side hope.
That’s when Luciana Natta, the match’s standout player, stepped in. The No. 7 scored twice—first with some help from the goalkeeper and then with a brilliant shot.
Argentina now has 9 points and is qualified for Saturday’s semifinal. On Thursday, they will close out the group stage against Colombia. Meanwhile, Uruguay will look for a win against Chile to keep their hopes of finishing in the top two of Group B alive.
