- Six spots are available for Concacaf teams in the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024.
- Next edition of the oldest national team tournament in the world will be played in the United States.
In January 2023, CONMEBOL and Concacaf announced the signing of a strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen and develop football in both regions. This agreement includes the joint organization of CONMEBOL Copa America 2024 in the United States, with six Concacaf national teams taking part as guests.
The six Concacaf national teams to participate in this important competition will be determined in the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League (CNL), as follows:
Four League A quarter-finals winners: the home-and-away matches will be played in November 2023, between the four top-ranked teams (based on the Concacaf Ranking) and four teams advancing from the League A group stage.
Two winners of a CONMEBOL Copa America play-off: the qualifying matches will be played in March 2024, in a predefined location, between the four Liga A quarter-finals losers.
The third edition of the Concacaf Nations League (CNL) kicks off in September 2023.
