This Saturday, at 5 PM Paraguay time, Racing and Cruzeiro will clash at La Nueva Olla stadium (Asunción) to decide the CONMEBOL Sudamericana 2024 champion.
Both teams feature players who took part in the CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™.
On the Argentine side, goalkeeper Gabriel Arias played one match for Chile in the Group Stage, while Juan Fernando Quintero (a standout in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana Semifinals with two goals in the second leg) was a runner-up with Colombia. The talented midfielder played three matches in the world’s oldest national team tournament, including the Final.
Cruzeiro also has a player who participated in the CONMEBOL Copa América™: Paraguayan Fabrizio Peralta, who did not play any minutes in the United States.
The Brazilian side’s goalkeeper, Cássio, not only played in the CONMEBOL Copa América™ but also won it, when the Verdeamarela claimed their last title in 2019.
