With just 365 days to go until the start of the world's oldest national team tournament, the key dates for the 48th edition to be held in the United States have been revealed.
The CONMEBOL Copa America 2024™ will begin on June 20 and end on July 14 2024, a total of 25 days of competition. The tournament will be hosted in the United States and will feature the 10 South American teams from CONMEBOL and 6 CONCACAF invitees.
The six CONCACAF national teams that will participate in this outstanding competition will be determined through the CONCACAF Nations League (CNL) 2023/24. The third edition of the CNL begins in September 2023.
"We are happy to officially announce the opening and final dates of the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024™, a new edition in which we will invite you to celebrate and live the passion that this competition makes us feel," said Alejandro Domínguez, President of CONMEBOL.
This is the kick-off to the CONMEBOL Copa America 2024™ that will thrill the hearts of an entire continent.
CONMEBOL is currently in the process of selecting cities and stadiums together with CONCACAF. The venues will be announced shortly, as well as the competition schedule.

In the previous edition of the CONMEBOL Copa America 2021™, Argentina won its first title in 28 years against Brazil with a 1-0 victory in the final of the competition.

The CONMEBOL Copa America 2024™ will be played in the United States and will include the 10 CONMEBOL teams and six CONCACAF teams as guests. This traditional CONMEBOL tournament will be co-hosted by both confederations.
This will be the 48th edition of the continent's most important competition, which will count for the second time in its history with 16 participants, the same number as in the 2016 edition, also held in the United States.
